Private Nurse is a truly unique bishoujo game featuring one of the most moving stories you will find in the genre. You are playing Hikori, a high school student suffering from an unknown illness doctors have been unable to cure for years. One day, Maria, a private nurse sent by your mother, knocks at your door and explains she's going to take care of you for 30 days.
Unlike what you could expect from the title, Private Nurse is not at all revolving around Hentai scenes and the nurse fantasy, but is really story driven. While mad at first, the main character first accomodates with living with Maria, and soons finds himself at peace with her around, his condition improving. As the end of the month approaches, the nurse becomes more and more an important part of Hiroki's life, making the separation date cruel.
There are 3 main storylines you can follow in Private Nurse, the main character becoming involved with either Maria, Ayano, his childhood friend, or Mio, the school's nurse. Mio's path ends rather quickly and abruptly, while Ayano's, and especially Maria's are much longer and story-rich.
The interface is a classic visual novel without much innovation. The sex scenes, while quite explicit, keep generally tasteful and overall avoid vulgarity. The artwork is splendid and truly reflects and contribute to the story's atmosphere.
If you try to follow Maria's path (which is not necessarily easy from the choices you get), the game may last further than the 30 days, and may seem long to some, the following chapters taking quite some time to read through. The end of the story is definitely worth it though, so try not to be too tired by some of the too long days.
Overall, Private Nurse is definitely a must-have for Bishoujo fans, unlike many titles which are just pretexts for Hentai scenes, you will not forget this sad story.
